Sounders U23 2-1 Fraser Valley (RECAP)

Abbotsford, BC Canada - Sunday afternoon, the Sounders U-23 went on the road with just one day of rest after their PDL home opener on Friday night. They returned home with three points from a 2-1 victory over the Fraser Valley Mariners.

The Sounders took a two goal advantage in the first half after goals from Fernando Monge and Aodhan Quinn. Fraser Valley pulled one goal back in the 2nd half by Adrian Kekec, but despite more goal scoring chances for the Sounders, the score remained 2-1 until the end.

The Fernando Monge goal is his 3rd of the season, while Quinn tallied his first. The win moves the Sounders up to 3rd spot in the Northwest Division with eight points from five matches played. Four of the five games have been on the road.
