Tacoma, WA. – The Sounders FC U-23 announced the signing of midfielder, Sean Morris. In addition to his signing with the Sounders FC U-23’s, he was called up to join the Sounders FC Reserves for the MLS Reserve match against the LA Galaxy Reserves on April 16. The Sounders FC lost 0-1 in the match.
"Sean is a great competitor and we are excited that the first Sounders U23 player was called up to the Sounders FC reserve team for the match in LA,” Sounders FC U-23 Head Coach, Darren Sawatzky, said. “This was a great opportunity for Sean as he works for the next level of the game.”
Morris was drafted in 2011 by the Seattle Sounders FC with the 11th pick of the 3rd round of the MLS Supplemental Draft. He appeared in 4 preseason games for the Sounders and tallied 1 assist. After being released by the Sounders in preseason, he played the 2011 PDL season with Portland Timbers U-23 team where he played 16 games and registered 3 assists.

In March of 2012, Sean attended the Sounders FC U-23 open tryouts, where his performance was rewarded with an invite to the Sounders U-23 camp.
On the back of a strong start to Sounders FC U-23 preseason camp, Morris was called upon to join the Sounders FC for their Major League Soccer reserve matches. Sean has since appeared in 2 MLS reserve games for the Seattle Sounders FC.
Sean is a Seattle area native that stays connected with the game; he works a part of the Sounders Youth Development Programs and Camp Systems.
"It’s a fun job,” Morris said. “I get to spread the club name and see how the sport has grown among the community."
