The Sounders U23 play Lane United away then come home to play Portland Timbers U23
The Sounders U23 have started the season hot with 3 wins and 1 loss on the young 2017 PDL season. After a 6-point weekend playing away at the Victoria Highlanders then returning home to win against TSS Rovers, the Sounders U23 squad will face Lane United away on Friday, June 2nd then return home for the annual game hosted by Black Hills FC against the Portland Timbers U23 team. The Sunday, June 4th game is at 2pm at North Thurston high school in Olympia.
Lane United comes into their home game on Friday with a record of 1-1-1 after tying the Portland Timbers U23 team this past week by a score of 2-2. Head Coach John Galas has brought back many familiar faces that started the 2016 season for Lane United. Jordan Jones currently leads Lane United with 4 goals on the new season and Nick Moon has added 2 goals.
The Portland Timbers U23 team will be familiar to the Sounders U23 team as the teams opened the 2017 PDL season with the Sounders U23 team as the host. In the dying minutes of extra time, Conner Antley struck to give the Sounders U23 team all 3 points for the game. The Timbers, led by head coach Aaron Lewis, won over TSS Rovers and tied Lane United to sit at 1-1-1. The Timbers are led by Francesco Amorosino with 2 goals on the campaign.

The top developmental men’s league in North American, the PDL features over 70 teams within four conferences across the United States, Canada and the Caribbean divided into 10 regional divisions. Sounders U23/Sounders Women
The Sounders U23 and Sounders Women teams are owned and operated by owners Lane Smith, Cliff McElroy, and Mike Jennings.
The Sounders U23 play in the Northwest Division of the Premier Development League (PDL) and the Sounders Women play in the WPSL. Featuring current college age amateur players with former international and professional stars, both the PDL and the WPSL provide elite amateurs the opportunity to compete while maintaining their eligibility as college student-athletes. Both the PDL and the WPSL are recognized throughout the world for providing superior competition for players, while offering affordable family entertainment for fans throughout North America. The Sounders U23 team is the direct PDL affiliate to the Sounders FC first team and USL S2 team.
