Sounders U23 will look to rebound after three game stint with trip to TSS Rovers

The Sounders U23 dropped a game at the Portland Timbers U23 on June 5th in Salem, Oregon while outshooting the home team 21 shots to 7.  The young guns in green lost a late game in Victoria 1-2 after leading on Friday, June 1st then turned around and dropped points at home against division leading Calgary by a score of 0-2 on Sunday, June 3rd.   Playing a third match in five days proved to be too much in Oregon as the Sounders U23 gave up three first half goals.

The Sounders U23 outshot the host team with 21 shots hitting the crossbar twice in the second half but could not find their way back into contention and ultimately lost the game.

Next up is another travel game into Canada against the upstart TSS Rovers that find themselves tied in first place with four wins as we hit the half way point of the season in the coming week.  The Sounders U23 led the TSS Rovers 2-0 late in the game on May 25th but conceded two late goals to give up two points on the night.  The rematch is scheduled for June 10th at Swanguard Stadium.

With no more room for error, the Sounders U23 must find points on this weekend’s trip to remain in the battle for the top spot in the PDL Northwest Division and any hope of a post season.

The Sounders U23 return home with a midweek game on Wednesday, June 13th at Sunset Stadium in Sumner at 7:30pm.   The full schedule and tickets can be found at www.soundersu23.com.  Come check out the #RELOADED Sounders U23 as they work to climb the table!
